Welcome to RiskDesk ("RiskDesk", "we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information in a transparent and secure manner.

This Privacy Policy explains how RiskDesk collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the RiskDesk macOS and iOS applications ("App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Your information is stored locally on your device. Where backup or sync features are enabled, data may also be stored in encrypted backups or on secure cloud infrastructure.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

RiskDesk may use anonymous or aggregated analytics to understand how users interact with the App, including feature usage, crash frequency, and general usage statistics. Where practical, analytics data is de-identified and does not identify individual users.

This website. Separately from the App, riskdeskapp.com uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used. It sets cookies and identifiers recording which pages you view, how long you spend on them, how you arrived, and your device, browser and approximate location. Google derives that location from your IP address and does not store the IP address itself in Analytics.

We see this only as aggregate reports and do not use it to identify you. Google's handling of the data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by browsing in private mode. These browser controls apply to this website only.

The App, from RiskDesk 2.8 onward. Earlier versions of the App contained no third-party analytics. From version 2.8, RiskDesk for Mac includes Google Analytics for Firebase, which reports how the App is used — which screens are opened, which features are used, session length, crashes, and general device information such as macOS version and device model. It is tied to a randomly generated app instance identifier, not to your name or email.

This tells us which parts of RiskDesk are worth improving. It is not connected to your trading data: your trades, journal entries, account balances, positions, broker credentials and rules are not sent to Google or to us, and remain on your device as described in sections 2, 3 and 5. You can turn App analytics off at any time in Settings → Privacy.

If you delete your account, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise associated personal information, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing activities. Requests may be subject to identity verification and applicable legal exceptions.

If you access RiskDesk from outside the country where its services are operated, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than those in your jurisdiction.

RiskDesk is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. No Financial Advice

RiskDesk is a software tool intended to assist with recordkeeping and analysis. The App does not provide personalised financial advice or recommendations, and users remain solely responsible for their trading decisions and risk management.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date above. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
